Wall Street Employees Join Nyack College for Prayer & Fellowship

November 12, 2021

Nyack College established the Battery Park/Wall Street Prayer & Fellowship several years ago as just one way of demonstrating the institution’s commitment to developing relationships with businesses and organizations in Lower Manhattan near the Washington Street campus.

Vice President of Church Relations and Dean of the Chapel Dr. Charles Hammond recalls, “We would meet monthly to pray for the local community, New York City and the nation.” Unfortunately, these gatherings were paused by the COVID pandemic.

With the recent re-opening of activity in New York City, Nyack President Rajan Mathews enthusiastically authorized these monthly meetings to resume. On Thursday, November 11, Wall Street employees joined Nyack faculty, staff and students for an evening of prayer and fellowship. This event and others to come will create opportunities for building community and engaging in collaborative endeavors.
