July 26, 2021

Dr. R. Steven Notley has arrived safely in Israel.

The Nyack College Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins and director of Nyack’s graduate program in Ancient Judaism and Christian Origins (AJCO) has also served as the academic director of the El-Araj Excavation Project (EAEP) in Israel with his colleague, Dr. Mordechai Aviam of Kinneret Academic College since 2016.

Dr. Notley will join Dr. Aviam and Kinneret students who will be excavating this week. The main excavation that Dr. Notley and other Nyack faculty and students have been a part of will resume in October 2021.

Stay abreast of this summer activity via Dr. Notley’s daily blog that will be shared with the Nyack community by Associate Professor of New Testament and Second Temple Literature at Nyack College Dr. Jeffrey P. García.
