More Than Good Sports | Six Warriors Named to All-Academic Team
July 15, 2021
Commissioner Dan Mara announced students named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team this week. Six of the 89 students from 13 CACC institutions named to the impressive roster are Nyack College students. These scholar-athletes maintained an impressive grade point average (GPA) while balancing the demands of their studies and commitment to their team.
Milena Ricken has been recognized three consecutive times with this distinction. Milena, a graduate student from Dorsten, Germany, was also one of three students in the conference to earn a GPA of 4.0. Linda Grimminger of Schwabisch, Germany (3.88), Saskia Lehninger of Weisendorf, Germany (3.99), Lea Zehringer of Traben-Trarbach, Germany (3.89) and Shanice Rapp of Untergromach, Germany (3.98) earned their second year on the roster. Maria Vargas, a senior from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain (3.56), is a first-time honoree during her Nyack career.
Congratulations to Milena, Linda, Saskia, Lea, Shanice and Maria for demonstrating excellence—academically and athletically!
