Karen Davie Named Nyack’s Newest Vice President

The Nyack/ATS campus community celebrates the recent promotion of Karen Davie to Vice President of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator. Effective February 1, 2022, she became a direct report to President Rajan Mathews.

In his announcement of this exciting development, President Mathews commented, “Karen has served faithfully and effectively for well over 21 years, most recently as Director of Human Resources. Her quiet demeanor and readiness to help coupled with her vast experience and competency make her a valued member of the Executive Team.”

In addition to serving as a member of the Institutional Leadership team, Karen oversees employee benefits, payroll, employment policies, employee relations and Title IX compliance. She diligently serves the employees of Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary and is passionate about making the institution a great college to work for. With admirable success, she is the administrator of the high-benefit, cost-effective employee health insurance plan and the retirement plan. Prior to joining the Nyack College staff, she was an employee benefits consultant at two large New York City firms that specializes in health and welfare benefits.

A mathematics major in both her undergraduate and graduate studies, Karen earned a bachelor’s degree at Houghton College in Houghton, NY and a master’s degree at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY.

Karen and her husband, Keith, and their three sons, are residents of Rockland County. She is a member of Living Christ Church in Nyack, NY where she currently volunteers as Assistant Treasurer and in Children’s Ministry. She also serves on the Benefit Board of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. She enjoys running, hiking, and cheering on the Nyack College Warriors.
