
June Chapel Service Features School of Music Alumnus and Professor

Join us for a virtual chapel service on Thursday, June 17 at 5:00 PM (EST) when Nyack School of Music alumnus Jamal Sarikoki will be the guest speaker. He is the minister of music and worship at Venice Presbyterian Church (VPC) in Venice, Florida where he is also a church elder. Jamal is also the artistic director of the Venice Community Concert Series.
A standout vocalist and student conductor for School of Music concerts, his solo work with the Chorale at Lincoln Center was a highlight of the group’s performance. During his Nyack years, he was also a member of the Chamberfest Asia group that traveled to Hong Kong, Beijing and Seoul Korea.

Dr. Tammy Lum
Dr. Tammy Lum, Nyack School of Music professor and director of keyboard performance will provide worship music along with Nyack alumni of the School of Music.
Dr. Lum is an international performer and winner of multiple music competitions. Also, a recording artist, her projects include “Piano Trios: Parker, Rachmaninoff, Chaminade, Liljestrand & Piazzolla” (2013) with the Amasi Trio, Trio in Residence of Nyack College, and her solo piano, “My Treasure Box” (1999).
