CRR’s “Beyond Diversity” Celebrates Kingdom Friendship

May 2, 2022

Dr. Nathaniel Perez, director of Nyack’s Center for Racial Reconciliation has released a new “Beyond Diversity” segment focused on the Kingdom friendship between Pastor Peter Ahn and Dr. Alex Gee, Jr.  Hear how these two brothers in Christ exemplify how the power of dialogue can become a bridge for people to learn and grow together as they serve their communities.

Peter Ahn

Pastor Peter Ahn, Metro Community Church

Peter Ahn is the lead pastor at Metro Community Church in Englewood, NJ. The contemporary, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church in Bergen County is the result of a vision God planted in his heart when he was still a seminary student earning his M.Div. The mission of Metro is “to be relevant to the unchurched and to bring them into an authentic relationship with Jesus and the community, growing together into the reflection of Jesus Christ and passionately responding to the needs of the hurting.” The heart of this youthful congregation is that all who gather will feel comfortable and not coerced into adopting a particular belief system. The goal is to provide a welcoming environment where honest and open conversation about relationship with God and with each other can take place. After completing his degree, he moved to New Jersey, where he currently lives with his wife, Jenny and their three children. Today he is earning his Doctor of Ministry degree at Alliance Theological Seminary.
