AU’s Fishkill Beacon Campus Alumni Celebrate An Annual Reunion
December 4, 2022
A gathering on the Alliance University campus in Manhattan this weekend was about so much more than a warm bowl of chili. The hugs, the handshakes, and the fist pumps signaled another successful Fishkill Chili Luncheon for alumni of the University’s degree programs offered at the Fishkill Beacon campus.

President Rajan Mathews shares an encouraging message.
The graduates were joined by President Rajan and Mrs. Grace Mathews, their professors, Fishkill officials, and special guests. For more than two decades, access to an Alliance education has been key to the men discovering a better version of themselves. In a gesture demonstrating sincere care and compassion for the alumni, Beacon campus Assistant Dean Jamila Wright has organized this annual reunion since 2019.

2022 AU alumnus Ronald Watson
Hearts were warmed by an encouraging message from President Mathews. He recounted the biblical account of Joseph’s incarceration, pointing to his rise from the pit of prison to significance and reconciliation with his family. Ronald Watson, a 2022 Beacon campus graduate shared a personal testimony of the program’s impact on his life. Rising to the challenge of public speaking for the first time, his powerful words represented the fruit of AU’s restorative educational program. The afternoon concluded with soul-soothing music performed by School of Music professors Christina Lamberti and Lars Frandsen.
The gift of this gathering was indeed more than a holiday celebrated with a meal. It was a demonstration of the campus community opening its arms to embrace and reassure these alumni that the best is yet to come.
